The band was never able to the group to be popular in the US, however, they enjoyed a great deal of popularity across other nations, including Japan. Ford started a heavy metal solo career after the group broke up in 1979. She began taking vocal lessons. Her first solo release was called 'Dancing on the Edge'. Ford was unable to achieve anything with either of them, and she left the scene for a decade. In 1988, she returned to the limelight with her hit album "Lita". The single 'Kiss Me Deadly as well as the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' were huge hits. The problem was that her popularity was short-lived as she disappeared for a few years. Her release of "Black" to the public in 1995 followed 'Wicked Wonderland', which came out nearly 15 years following. In 2016, her latest album'Time Capsule'' was made available. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
