Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into an ethnically diverse family from South London. Her mother is English and her father Nigerian. Her family was raised on a south London council estate, and at the age of fourteen, she attended The Brit School. At the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she obtained the BA in acting. She was a part of various stage productions during her time at school, including King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe first began her career as an actress through the film Storm Damage. Since then, she's appeared as a guest on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her debut film as a performer came from that of the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. Following that success, she played Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as appearing in six episodes of Trexx as well as Flipside in the role of Ollie. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi as the main character in the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was also a part of 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. She has performed as a character in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path, composed by David Watson.
Madekwe had her official US debut on the drama series The Beautiful Life, which just aired two episodes in the US on The CW before being cancelled. In February 2011, she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe was a regular in the ABC drama series Revenge for two seasons. In May 2013 that she would leave the series after making a guest episode in the initial season of the third. She starred as Tituba in the television series Salem between 2014 and 2016. Madekwe and her partner for many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wed in June of 2012. They both appeared on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also starred together in Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress who was raised in an extended family. She was born to Roy and Patty Leggat. Her four older brothers were present as well including twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's athletic brothers played baseball in summer as well as hockey in winter. Ashley did not walk, but she was a dancer, and when she was 2 1/2 years old she took up Baby Ballet -and she fell in love with. Ashley was hooked on dance since that time. Ashley continued to dance competitively through high school graduation, in top divisions such as ballet, tap, Jazz, Pointe, Acrobatics, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, and much more. The major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which have awarded her the distinction of "top soloist".
